Laundry

I actually enjoy doing laundry! I learned how to do my own when I was in jr. High. As the years have gone by I've found certain detergents, settings, and ways to sort that I prefer.

I'm allergic to everything so I only use free detergent. I prefer All or Tide. Tide now has a free with Oxyclean! I also use Tide Free Coldwater and Woolight for darks. Woolight is not free, but I only use it on pants and my husbands work shirts.

My washer and dryer used to belong to my mom. They are not HE's which I prefer. I like the old fashioned knob kind. On the washer I can choose hand wash as a setting which I love!

I wash all underwear, socks, hankies, and nighties in warm water. I always do a second rinse and dry on delicate. All towels, sheets, blankets, etc. are washed on hot with a second rinse and dried on high. Everything else is washed in cold and dried on delicate or medium. Cold keeps our nice clothes from looking worn out.

I do hang dry some shirts and other delicates. I do know how to iron. I don't iron often, but will when things pile up or if my husband has an important meeting and needs his shirt looking extra good.

I can also sew buttons. This has come in quite handy since I've been married. My husband's shirts are always losing buttons. I can also mend some clothes, but I don't have a sewing machine.

Blessings upon you!
